This is substantially less than comparable accommodations here near the coast. We are located just 1/2-mile from the Pacific Ocean, 5 miles south of the Village of Mendocino, and 3 hours from San Francisco or Sacramento. Our single unit is modern and completely private on the second-floor in a separate building adjacent to the main house. It is our guest apartment in an estate-like garden setting. On the main floor there are: a bedroom with queen-sized bed, living room with gas-fired Vermont stove, Dish Network TV with High Definition, Sony LCD HDTV, an elegant shower-bathroom, and dining/snacking area. A loft above the main floor offers an extra full-sized, foam-foldout bed and a cozy place to relax. Throughout, you will find plush furnishings: leather sofa, carpeted & slate floors, and virtually total quiet. Anytime, you may use the outside hot tub and stroll the lush garden that features hundreds of select rhododendrons, heathers, maples, bamboos, hostas, hellebores, and four fish, water lily and reflection ponds. We are surrounded by native redwoods, huckleberry, rhododendron, ferns, trillium, and salal. Other information can be found at http://www.MendocinoHoliday.com. The garden can be seen at http//www.mendocinogarden.com.This Mendocino Coast area features dramatic seascapes, giant redwoods, hiking, art, and some of the finest restaurants in the country. It is normally reached through Anderson Valley, one of California's premier wine regions. Key sites for visits are the Mendocino Art Center; Mendocino Coast Botanical Garden; several fine artists' coop galleries; and. various ocean & redwood trails. Some people enjoy golf; Fort Bragg's Skunk Train; horesback riding; etc. We have a temperate climate all year. You may specify any dates, subject to availability. Additional nights are $135 for 2 including breakfasts. Two extra adults adults can be accommodated for $150 each for 2 nights. Gourmet breakfasts for 2 or more are included each day.
